Mysanthropy by Xiion Mysanthropy by Xiion
A work in progress.
painted in Photoshop CS2 using my Graphire4 tablet with the pen/mouse.

planet texture credit goes to :iconresurgere: for 3 different textures. ill be using some of his textures in the future, Google isn't doin' it for me.

EDIT:: Finished on 5/29/07

ill be updating with more planets later...

Credit to Hubble for the top left and far right nebulae picture(s), it'll be taken out upon start and completion of my next terraspace collab.

I agree with namlesss, the planet doesnt fit with the background and i like the brushing but not he nebula photo as it is kidna low resolution like jamesbond said before, like to see the finished product.

Should credit Hubble, why not? Anyway, the texture resolution is much too low resolution and as a result it looks pixellated and blotchy, which is a shame because I rather like that planet in the corner there (although the smaller one looks a bit flat).

heh, i've been painting it up for a while now, trying to edit the colors to fit better, and i decided to take out the hubble image. the pixelated parts are from using color dodge as a blending mode too much, which had experience much too frequently while painting the nebulae for the A.W.R. project. ill have to mess with it some more, so it wont be done till summer time, the finished product will be shown in my next terraspace collab.

Not too bad :) I think the image behind your creation is too big for the rest and the planets need a little something else, maybe a different colour/size atmosphere :confused: Great piece none the less!

Sorry dude, correct me if I'm wrong, but I do not believe you painted all of that nebula.
You might have painted some/most it but you should give credit where it's due to the Hubble image.

ah, right, almost forgot, i found the image lying around in my scraps folder, i didnt take it from the nasa site, i just found it on google. but whoever got the picture first, i give credit to them.

only a SMALL portion was not painted, which is a small part of the left side, the other parts are just mixtures of airbrushes, and using my images that I took of clouds and blending them to fit with detail.

Could I see the image then? Because I don't believe the only part is on the left..
Like the right side, and the starfield..

All I'm saying is that it's kinda cheating using such a stock image for your background.
I know that is a double standard with our planet textures but this isn't right.
